S2L Fans,
Well, summer has officially come to an end, and what a summer it has been!
First and foremost, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who sent prayers, love, and support to Tom and Grace, as well as Moni, during their times of need. We felt those prayers, and we know they made a difference. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for keeping them in your thoughts and for being there when it mattered most. Tom, Grace, Moni, and all of us at S2L truly appreciate you.
We also want to give a HUGE thank-you to all the bands and car clubs who participated in the David Whiting Benefit. You showed once again that Albuquerque is truly a city filled with love, compassion, and people who take care of their own. That is what community is all about!
Please continue to keep Sandra, Tom, Grace, Moni, and their families in your thoughts and prayers. They will need our love and support as time goes on. ❤️
This summer was also a difficult one for Albuquerque’s music community. We said goodbye to Al Hurricane Jr. and Jeff Garcia, two humble and talented individuals who were wonderful examples of how we should treat one another. Their contributions to our community will never be forgotten, and they will always hold a special place in our hearts. May they, along with the others we have lost, rest in peace, knowing they were truly loved.
We also want to recognize the amazing musicians who stepped in and helped S2L keep the music going this summer. Without you, some of our shows might not have gone on, and we are incredibly grateful for your professionalism, talent, dedication, and joy of performing.
Loren Lujan, Jesse Caviler, Ariane Willis, Alvin Suazo, Al Pena, and Anthony “Tone” Moya — THANK YOU! You guys rocked it for us when we needed you most, and we appreciate every one of you!
And last, but certainly NOT least… OUR AMAZING S2L FANS! ❤️🎶
How could we ever forget you? You are the reason we do what we do! Seeing you out on the dance floor, singing along, smiling, laughing, and having a great time with us is what makes all the hard work worthwhile.
Thank you for coming out to our shows, supporting live music, taking pictures with us, asking for autographs, and taking the time to come up and visit with us. Those moments mean more to us than you may ever realize.
YOU are a huge part of S2L’s success, and we could not do this without you!
As we look back on this summer, we are reminded that music is about so much more than playing songs. It’s about family, friendship, love, community, and being there for one another through the good times and the difficult ones.
From all of us at S2L, THANK YOU for an unforgettable summer! We love and appreciate every single one of you, and we look forward to making many more memories together.
Keep supporting local music, keep supporting one another, and most importantly, keep being the amazing Albuquerque community that we know and love!
Much love from all of us at S2L! ❤️🎸🎤
